Four games into the full ice stretch of the 2022-23 season, Woodstock local, Nash McGlenister, leads the U9 MD division with seven goals.

Equipped with a nasty accurate right-shot, Nash is an explosive skater with breakaway speed that allows him to be the first on the puck and at many times be the first guy back to help. He is a physical player who easily transitions on his edges and often leaves defenders on their heels. Nash has an eye for finding and creating open ice for himself and since the transition to full ice, he’s finally been able to show his range of speed and play-making abilities.

When battling along the boards or in front of the net, Nash protects the puck on the forehand and backhand, tangling up his opponents. But the most significant aspect of Nash’s game is the fact that he is willing to work consistently, double shifting when he can. He works hard but makes it looks easy.
